ROOKIE CAMP
(For incoming 9th graders or any new member AND all percussionists.)
These rehearsals are mostly for music fundamentals, marching fundamentals, collecting paperwork, and understanding Davidson Band procedures.

ATTENDANCE IS ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED FOR SHOW PARTICIPATION!!!

After school practices will be Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3:30-5:30 during August. After that it will just be Monday and Tuesday 3:30-5:30. We may have more Thursday practices on the week of contest which is usually at the end of September and in October
Bring your water bottle to the game.
If you want to leave directly from the away game, make sure to fill out a trip return form, give it to your bus captain and meet the bus captain at the bus after the game.
During the school day students will load large instruments on the trailers.
White trailer is for percussion. Black trailer is for water and
500 call time at davidson to take roll and make sure we have all uniform parts, instruments
530 load bus and leave to away game
600 unload trailers, warmup run a couple stand tunes
640 into the stadium sitting as a band
650 Star Spangled banner played by HOME band.
700 Kickoff
740 band leaves the stands to get ready for halftime. Usually
800-815 we play halftime. Away band always plays first. Home band plays second. Unless it is homecoming or some other even scheduled for that night.
After halftime we give the students 20 minutes to relax and buy a snack.
840 we play 4th quarter in the stands.
915 pack up and head back to davidson to unload and dismiss.
It depends on traffic and travel times to say when we will be back.
930 unload and dismiss
Same as above except without the travel.
We will usually play pregame on the field

650 Star spangled banner
700 kick off
After the game we will clean up in the stadium and dismiss as a band. Usually around 915-930
