What Does NOT Belong in the Band Room or Cubbies:
Backpacks (must go home after games)
Street clothes or jackets
Marching band uniform parts (gloves, gauntlets, jackets, shoes, shako pieces)
Food, drinks, or water bottles
Random personal items
Anything left out will be moved to the Lost and Found immediately.
After Each Game:
Every band member helps clean the entire room.
Each section has an assigned area to supervise.
Leadership = Drum Major and Band Directors
Leadership completes the final inspection and scoring.
How We Care for Our Home Shows Who We Are
Performance Ratings:
Exceeded Standard: Went above and beyond to elevate the room. The section and leadership earn reward credit.
Met Standard: Task fully completed, professional, and neat. Expectation achieved and standard upheld.
Did Not Meet Standard: Task incomplete, messy, or required correction. Section and leadership share the consequence.
BAND ROOM CLEANUP CHECKLIST
Chairs – Flutes
☐ All chairs stacked neatly on chair racks
☐ Chair racks rolled outside under the overhang
Stands – Clarinets
☐ All stands collapsed and placed correctly on stand racks
☐ Stand racks stored in Practice Room 4
Trash Sweep and Food Check – Saxes
☐ No trash left anywhere in the room
☐ No food or drink left on tables, shelves, or floor
Music Pickup and Tuners – Trumpets
☐ All sheet music and binders stored correctly
☐ Tuners returned to storage location
Side Rooms and Cubbies – Mellophones / Trombones
☐ Cubbies contain only instruments, binders, and tuners
☐ Side rooms are clear of clothes and debris
Floor Sweep and Spot Mop – Baritones
☐ Floors swept or mopped as needed
☐ No spills or trash remaining
Trailer Check – Tubas
☐ All trailer equipment returned and secured
☐ Nothing left in the band room that belongs in the trailer
Percussion Area, Carts, and Speaker Equipment – Percussion
☐ All sticks, mallets, and gear stored properly
☐ Carts and speakers returned to their proper locations
